The booking system calculates each price from the actual driving distance and expected journey time for your trip, then adds the airport fee. You see the full breakdown before you confirm, and the price you confirm is the price you pay. Book the return at the same time and the return leg is 5% cheaper.
Getting to Newcastle Airport
Newcastle International Airport is at Woolsington, about six miles north-west of the city centre, just off the A696. It has one terminal. Aim to arrive two hours before a short-haul flight and three before long-haul, unless your airline says otherwise.
Arriving at Newcastle: Your Pickup
Add your flight number when you book. We track the flight and you get one hour of free waiting from the time it actually lands, so a delay in the air or a slow passport queue doesn’t cost you anything extra. Your driver’s details and contact number come with your booking confirmation.
Newcastle Airport Taxi or Metro?
The Tyne and Wear Metro runs from the airport into Newcastle and on to Sunderland. It suits one person with light luggage on the Metro line. A taxi is better for families, groups, heavy bags and late arrivals, and for Durham, Northumberland and other places off the line.
