How much is a taxi to Heathrow?
From most of west London and the towns just round the M25, expect £60 to £90 in a saloon. Central London is £83 to £97 depending on how far east you start. From further out (Oxford, Milton Keynes, Brighton, Cambridge) it is £110 to £160. Executive cars cost roughly a third more than a saloon; a people carrier for six costs about the same as an executive car.

Which Heathrow terminal?
Heathrow has four passenger terminals: 2, 3, 4 and 5. Your terminal is on your booking or boarding pass. British Airways uses Terminal 5 for most flights, and Star Alliance airlines such as United and Lufthansa use Terminal 2. Heathrow drop-off charge
Since January 2026 Heathrow charges every car £7 to enter a terminal drop-off zone, with a 10-minute limit and fines for unpaid or overstayed visits. With us the airport fee appears as its own line in the quote, so the price you see is what you pay.
What time should the taxi collect you?
Aim to be at the terminal 2 hours before a short-haul flight and 3 hours before long-haul. Then add the drive: about 45 to 60 minutes from central London outside the rush hour, 30 to 45 minutes from Windsor, Slough or Kingston, and an hour or more from Reading, Guildford or Oxford. Taxi to Heathrow or the train?
Travelling alone from near a station with light luggage, the Elizabeth line or Piccadilly line is cheaper. A taxi is the better buy when there are two or more of you (three people share an £83 fare from central London for under £28 each), you have heavy cases or children, your flight leaves early, or you live away from a direct line.
