Birmingham Airport 12 Seater Minibus

A 12-seater minibus from Birmingham Airport gets your group from the terminal to the NEC, the city centre or anywhere in the Midlands in one go. Your driver meets you in arrivals, and the price for the whole minibus is fixed when you book.

Every booking is a fixed price for the whole minibus, agreed before you travel, so there is one fare for the group rather than a meter running in traffic. Use the booking form at the top of this page and choose the 12-seat minibus for an instant quote.

The 12-Seater Minibus at a Glance

  • Seats: up to 12 passengers plus the driver.
  • Vehicle: typically a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit or similar high-roof minibus.
  • Driver included: an experienced driver who handles the route, parking and loading.
  • Service: meet and greet in arrivals and flight tracking for pickups.
  • Availability: 24 hours a day, including early starts and late returns.

Who Books a 12-Seater for Birmingham Airport?

With the NEC next door, many of our Birmingham 12-seater bookings are exhibition teams and event staff, alongside families flying on holiday and business groups visiting companies in the West Midlands.

Across all our routes, the 12-seater is popular with families travelling together, small corporate teams, golf and sports clubs, choirs and bands, and wedding parties of up to a dozen guests. If your group is 9 or 10 people with heavy luggage, a 12-seater is often the more comfortable choice than squeezing into an 8-seater, because the spare seats and boot give you room to breathe.

Seating and Luggage Space

With all 12 seats filled, a typical 12-seater takes around one large suitcase and one cabin bag per passenger, depending on the model. If your group is travelling light, there is room to spare; if everyone has two large cases, ski bags or golf clubs, tell us when you book and we will confirm the right vehicle.

Mention pushchairs, child seats and any folding mobility aids in the notes, as they affect the space available.

Getting to and from Birmingham Airport

Birmingham Airport (BHX) is east of the city, next to the NEC and Birmingham International station, with fast links to the M42, M6 and M40. It has a single passenger terminal, which keeps meeting a group straightforward.

For arrivals, your driver meets the group in the arrivals area of the terminal. For departures, we drop at the terminal forecourt, and any drop-off charge is included in the fixed price.

For terminal information and live updates, see the official Birmingham Airport website.

One Minibus vs Several Cars

Instead of booking three saloons or two people carriers, one 12-seater keeps the group together, arrives at one time and gives you a single fixed price.

One 12-seater minibus Several taxis
Arrival Everyone together Cars can arrive at different times
Price One fixed fare Several fares to pay and share
Coordination One driver, one contact number Several drivers to track
Luggage Loaded once, in one place Split across boots

Choosing the Right Size: 8, 12 or 16 Seats

Group size Best vehicle Why
5 to 8 people 8-seater minivan Lower price, easy to park, fine with standard luggage
9 to 12 people 12-seater minibus Room for the group and holiday luggage in one vehicle
13 to 16 people 16-seater minibus Keeps a large party together with one driver
More than 16 Two or more vehicles We coordinate the vehicles to arrive together

If you are between sizes, choose by luggage as well as passengers. A group of 11 with large cases and sports bags may travel more comfortably in a 16-seater than a full 12-seater.

What’s Included in the Price

  • The whole minibus and an experienced driver for your journey.
  • Fuel and the airport drop-off charge.
  • Flight tracking and free waiting time after landing.
  • Help with loading and unloading luggage.
  • A fixed price that does not change with traffic or diversions.

Practical Tips for Group Airport Transfers

  • Choose one lead contact: the driver will call one person, so give us the number of whoever is organising the group.
  • Agree a meeting point: after landing, gather the group together before heading out, so the driver can load everyone at once.
  • Leave extra time for departures: group check-in and bag drop take longer, so aim to arrive at least two and a half hours before a short-haul flight.
  • List the luggage: numbers of large cases, cabin bags and bulky items help us confirm the vehicle is the right size.
  • Split pickups: if the group starts from several addresses, add each one as a stop.

Areas We Cover Around Birmingham Airport

Many of our Birmingham group bookings are for the NEC and Resorts World, for Birmingham city centre hotels, and for towns across the West Midlands and Warwickshire. We cover Birmingham city centre, the NEC, Solihull, Coventry, Sutton Coldfield, Leamington Spa, Warwick, Wolverhampton, and anywhere else in the UK. If your address is not listed, the booking form will still give a fixed price.

How to Book Your 12-Seater

  1. Get a quote: enter your pickup, destination and date in the form at the top of the page, and choose the 12-seat minibus.
  2. Add the details: passenger numbers, luggage, flight number and any extra stops.
  3. Confirm: you receive the booking confirmation, and the driver’s details before the journey.
  4. Travel: pay the driver on the day, or use your company account if you have one.

For peak dates such as school holidays and summer weekends, we recommend booking a couple of weeks ahead.

Business, Event and Group Travel

Companies can book on account with monthly invoicing and itemised receipts, and we can coordinate several vehicles for larger events. See our corporate accounts page for details.

Please note we do not currently operate wheelchair-accessible minibuses with ramps or lifts. Folding wheelchairs can be carried if you tell us when you book.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many people can travel in the 12-seater minibus?

Up to 12 passengers plus the driver.

Is the price fixed?

Yes. The price covers the whole minibus and is agreed when you book. It does not change with traffic.

What if our flight is delayed?

We track your flight and adjust the pickup to the real landing time, so there is no need to call us.

Is a driver included?

Yes. Every minibus booking comes with an experienced driver, so nobody in your group needs to drive.

Can we make extra stops?

Yes. Add extra pickups or drop-offs in the booking form, for example to collect guests from different addresses.

How do we pay?

You pay the driver on the day. Business customers can pay on account with monthly invoices.

Is a 12-seater minibus big enough for 12 people with luggage?

Usually yes, with around one large case and one cabin bag each. If your group has more than that, or bulky items like golf clubs, tell us when you book so we can confirm the vehicle or suggest a 16-seater.

Should we book a 12-seater or an 8-seater?

For 8 people or fewer, an 8-seater is normally the better value. From 9 passengers, or for 7 to 8 people with a lot of luggage, the 12-seater is the right size.

Can you run group transfers to the NEC?

Yes. The NEC is right next to the airport, and we regularly carry exhibition and event groups between the two, as well as to hotels further afield.

Does Birmingham Airport have more than one terminal?

No. Birmingham has one passenger terminal, so there is no risk of being dropped at the wrong building.
