Our 16-seater minibus takes larger groups to and from Dover in one vehicle, with a driver who knows the difference between the cruise terminals and the ferry docks, and one fixed price for the whole party.
The fare covers the whole minibus and is agreed when you book, which makes splitting the cost across the group simple. Use the booking form at the top of this page and choose the 16-seat minibus for an instant quote.

Who Books a 16-Seater for Dover Cruise Terminal?
School trips to France, sports and social clubs, and large cruise groups are the typical bookings for our 16-seaters to Dover.
Across all our routes, the 16-seater is popular with sports teams, school and university groups, corporate away days, wedding and hen or stag parties, and cruise parties of up to 16 passengers. If your group is 13 to 16 people, one 16-seater keeps everyone together and is simpler to coordinate than two smaller vehicles arriving at different times.
Seating and Luggage Space
A 16-seater carries the whole group in one vehicle, but with every seat filled the luggage space is tighter than many people expect: plan on roughly one medium case and one cabin bag each. For a full group with large holiday cases or kit bags, tell us exactly what you are bringing, as it may be better to book the 16-seater for fewer passengers or add a second vehicle for bags.
Pushchairs, folding wheelchairs and car seats all take space, so include them in the booking notes.
Travelling to Dover Cruise Terminal
Dover’s cruise terminals are at the Western Docks, while the cross-Channel ferries use the Eastern Docks, so make sure you know which you need. The port approaches can be very busy at peak holiday times, so we plan the group’s arrival with extra margin.
We drop the group at the cruise terminal’s baggage area or the ferry terminal building. On return, the driver meets the group after disembarkation and loads the luggage.
For terminal information and live updates, see the official Port of Dover website.
One Minibus vs Several Cars
Instead of booking four saloons or two 8-seaters, one 16-seater keeps the group together, arrives at one time and gives you a single fixed price.
| One 16-seater minibus | Several taxis | |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | Everyone together | Cars can arrive at different times |
| Price | One fixed fare | Several fares to pay and share |
| Coordination | One driver, one contact number | Several drivers to track |
| Luggage | Loaded once, in one place | Split across boots |
Choosing the Right Size: 8, 12 or 16 Seats
| Group size | Best vehicle | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 5 to 8 people | 8-seater minivan | Lower price, easy to park, fine with standard luggage |
| 9 to 12 people | 12-seater minibus | Room for the group and holiday luggage in one vehicle |
| 13 to 16 people | 16-seater minibus | Keeps a large party together with one driver |
| More than 16 | Two or more vehicles | We coordinate the vehicles to arrive together |
If you are between sizes, choose by luggage as well as passengers. A group of 11 with large cases and sports bags may travel more comfortably in a 16-seater than a full 12-seater.

Practical Tips for Group Port Transfers
- Check your terminal: your cruise line or ferry company confirms which terminal you need.
- Arrive within your check-in window: cruise lines give each passenger an arrival time; aim for the start of it so the group is not rushed.
- Label your bags: put the ship’s luggage tags on before you leave home so porters can take them straight on board.
- Choose one lead contact: the driver will call one person, so give us the organiser’s number.
- Book the return at the same time: we plan the pickup around the ship’s arrival and disembarkation.
Areas We Cover Around Dover
Cruise and ferry groups travel to Dover from London, Kent, Surrey and the airports, especially Heathrow and Gatwick. We cover Dover, Folkestone, Canterbury, Ashford, Deal, Maidstone, Gatwick, Heathrow, and anywhere else in the UK. If your address is not listed, the booking form will still give a fixed price.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can travel in the 16-seater minibus?
Up to 16 passengers plus the driver.
Is the price fixed?
Yes. The price covers the whole minibus and is agreed when you book. It does not change with traffic.
What if our ship is late?
Tell us the ship name and we plan the pickup around its arrival. If disembarkation runs late, the driver waits.
Is a driver included?
Yes. Every minibus booking comes with an experienced driver, so nobody in your group needs to drive.
Can we make extra stops?
Yes. Add extra pickups or drop-offs in the booking form, for example to collect guests from different addresses.
How do we pay?
You pay the driver on the day. Business customers can pay on account with monthly invoices.
How much luggage fits in a 16-seater minibus?
With all 16 seats in use, allow about one medium case and one cabin bag per person. For large holiday cases, sports kit or equipment, tell us when you book so we can plan the space properly.
Is one 16-seater cheaper than two 8-seaters?
For a group of 13 to 16 people it is usually better value and always simpler, because you have one driver, one pickup and one fixed price for the whole group.
Do cruise ships and ferries use the same part of Dover port?
No. Cruise ships use the terminals at the Western Docks, while ferries use the Eastern Docks. Tell us your sailing and we will take the group to the right place.
Can you take a group from Gatwick to Dover for a cruise?
Yes. Airport-to-cruise transfers are common, and we allow enough time for the drive and check-in.
