Heathrow to Slough Taxi

A taxi from Heathrow to Slough costs £39 in a saloon. The fare is fixed and identical from Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5, and the airport’s parking and drop-off fee is already inside it.

Slough is one of the closest towns to the airport, about 7 miles from Terminal 5. On a run this short, the fare matters less than getting the right size of car and finding your driver quickly. That is what most of this page is about.

Fares from Terminal 5 to Slough station, quoted by our booking system in October 2026. From Terminals 2 and 3 the cars and minivans cost the same; the 12- and 16-seat minibuses are £228 and £280. Addresses in Langley, Cippenham, Burnham, Farnham Royal or the Slough Trading Estate can be priced exactly in the booking form.

Pick the car by the luggage

On a short trip it is tempting to book the cheapest car. The saloon holds three passengers and three suitcases, so it suits one or two people.

  • A couple back from a long trip with four cases: the estate, £45.
  • A family of four with a pushchair: the people carrier (6 seats, 5 cases), £53.
  • Two families travelling together, or a group with sports bags: the 8-seater minivan, £74.

The people carrier costs £8 more than the estate and takes five passengers more comfortably, so for any group of four with children it is usually the better choice.

Why not the train?

There is no direct train from Heathrow to Slough. By rail you take the Elizabeth line from Heathrow to Hayes and Harlington and change there for a westbound train. With luggage, that change and the walk at Slough station take time, and late at night the trains thin out.

A taxi is door to door, at the same fare at any hour.

How you meet your driver

Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal forecourts. Your driver waits for you inside the arrivals hall with a name board instead. Meet and greet is included on our Heathrow transfers.

Give us your flight number when you book. We follow the flight, and you have 60 minutes of free waiting from the moment you land. Our flight delays and waiting time page explains what happens if a delay runs longer.

You can check your flight on the official Heathrow arrivals board.

Which Heathrow terminal?

The fare is the same from all four. British Airways flies mainly from Terminal 5, which is the closest terminal to Slough. Virgin Atlantic, Delta, American Airlines and Emirates use Terminal 3. Check your booking for the terminal and tell us, so your driver waits in the right arrivals hall.

Going to Heathrow from Slough

The outbound fare is the same £39. Your driver waits 10 minutes free at your door. Heathrow charges £7 each time a vehicle enters a terminal drop-off zone, and that is already in your fare. With Terminal 5 so close, a pickup around 45 minutes before you need to be at the terminal is usually enough outside rush hour; allow more on weekday mornings.

Business arrivals

Slough’s business parks and the Slough Trading Estate are a common destination for business travellers landing at Heathrow. If your journey is on a company account, add the reference to the booking notes. The executive car (£53) seats three with two cases.
