Heathrow Terminal 3 Taxi

A pre-booked taxi from Heathrow Terminal 3 to Victoria costs £73 in a saloon, and to Paddington £69. Those are fixed prices from our booking system. They include the airport parking and drop-off fee, so the figure you see when you book is the figure you pay. The same fares apply in the other direction, when we take you to Terminal 3 for a flight.

This page covers what is particular to Terminal 3: who flies from it, how pick-ups and drop-offs work under Heathrow’s rules, what you pay to the places our Terminal 3 passengers most often go, and which car fits your group.

One-way fares quoted by our booking system in October 2026, using each station’s postcode. Your own street or hotel will be priced in the booking form at the top of this page. Executive cars, executive minivans and 12- and 16-seat minibuses are also available on every route.

A few things stand out. Canary Wharf costs the same as Victoria in a saloon, although it is further east. The 8-seater costs £13 to £30 more than a people carrier on these routes and carries three more cases. And the fare is the same at 5am as at 5pm.

Who flies from Terminal 3

Terminal 3 is used mainly by long-haul airlines. Virgin Atlantic has its largest presence here, alongside carriers including Delta, American Airlines, Emirates, Cathay Pacific and Qantas, and some British Airways flights. Airlines do move between terminals, so check the terminal on your booking confirmation or on Heathrow’s own which terminal tool before you travel.

That mix matters for your booking. Long-haul passengers usually travel with large suitcases, often two each. A saloon takes three cases, so two people coming back from a long trip can fill it. Four people with long-haul luggage need at least the estate (four cases), and a family with a pushchair is better off in the people carrier (five cases) or the 8-seater (eight).

Terminals 2 and 3 sit side by side in the centre of the airport and share a railway station. Terminal 4 is on the southern side and Terminal 5 on the western edge, so if your airline changes terminal, tell us before the day.

Being collected from Terminal 3

Heathrow does not allow pick-ups on the terminal drop-off forecourts. Its rules say no pick-ups or waiting are permitted in those areas. That is why a pre-booked driver does not wait outside the doors for you, and why the system can feel confusing the first time.

Here is how a collection with us works:

  1. You book with your flight number. We follow the flight, so the driver plans around the time you actually land rather than the time printed on your ticket.
  2. The driver parks off the forecourt. Heathrow’s Terminal 3 car park is linked to the arrivals area by a covered walkway, so the walk from the car to the arrivals hall is short and under cover.
  3. The driver meets you inside arrivals. Meet and greet is included on our Heathrow transfers. Your driver waits past the arrivals gate holding a name board, then walks you and your luggage to the car.
  4. You get 60 minutes of free waiting from landing. Passport control and baggage reclaim at Terminal 3 can take a while after a long-haul flight, and the clock starts when the plane lands, not at your booked time. Our flight delays and waiting time page explains what happens after a long delay.

Parking is covered by the airport parking and drop-off fee already inside the fare, so nothing is added on the day.

If your flight number changes, or you are rebooked onto another flight, send us the new number. We can only track the flight we have been given.

Being dropped at Terminal 3

For departures, your driver uses the Terminal 3 drop-off forecourt. Heathrow charges £7 every time a vehicle enters a terminal drop-off zone, and vehicles can stay for a maximum of 10 minutes. That fee is already inside your fare.

The 10-minute limit is plenty for unloading, but it is not time for a long goodbye at the kerb. Have everyone ready to step out with their bags when the car stops.

If you are dropping someone off in your own car instead, the charge must be paid by midnight the next day. Heathrow issues an £80 parking charge if it is not paid, reduced to £40 if paid within 14 days. Our Heathrow drop-off guide explains the rules in more detail.

Taxi or train from Terminal 3?

Terminal 3 has good rail links. The shared Terminals 2 and 3 station is served by the Heathrow Express, the Elizabeth line and the Piccadilly line. The Heathrow Express reaches Paddington in about 15 minutes, with trains every 15 minutes; its cheapest advance fare is £10.

For one person with a small bag heading to somewhere near Paddington, the train is cheaper and quick. A taxi tends to make more sense when:

  • There are three or four of you. Four people in an estate to Victoria pay about £20 each, with no change of train and no walk to the platform.
  • You are not going to a station. A hotel in Mayfair or an office in Docklands is a door-to-door trip by car and two or three legs by train.
  • You land late or travel very early. The Heathrow Express runs from early morning until around midnight. Our fare is the same at any hour.
  • You have long-haul luggage. Getting two large cases each through a station and onto a busy train is hard work after an overnight flight.

Choosing the right vehicle

Vehicle Passengers Suitcases Typical Terminal 3 trip
Saloon 3 3 One or two people, a case each
Executive 3 2 Business travel to the City or Canary Wharf
Estate 4 4 A couple with lots of luggage, or four people with one case each
People carrier 6 5 A family with a pushchair or car seats
8-seater minivan 8 8 Large families, or two families sharing
Executive minivan 6 6 A business team arriving together
12- and 16-seat minibus 12 / 16 10 / 14 Groups, tours, sports teams

Choose by luggage first and seats second. Most mistakes happen when four adults with long-haul cases book a saloon.

Child seats are available on request; ask for them when you book.

How to book

Enter Terminal 3 as your pickup or drop-off in the booking form, add your destination, date and time, and the form shows a fixed price for every vehicle. For a collection, add your flight number. Anything else the driver should know, such as a wheelchair, golf clubs or an extra stop, goes in the notes. For a group or a multi-stop journey the form does not cover, call us on +44 7575 470883.

Where will my driver meet me at Terminal 3?

Inside the arrivals hall, past the arrivals gate, holding a name board. Meet and greet is included on our Heathrow transfers.

Is the Heathrow drop-off charge included?

Yes. The airport drop-off and parking fee is built into every quote, so there is nothing extra to pay at the terminal.

Can I get a taxi between Terminal 3 and Terminal 5?

Yes. It is £39 in a saloon. If you only need to change terminal, the airport’s own transfer trains are usually simpler; our guide to moving between Heathrow terminals explains the options.
